ZAMBID: first scam, slammed

www.zambid.com is a brilliant idea to make legitimate money off of the internet, but that's all it is, an idea. Zambid is a website that allows you to bid on items that seem as if they are being sold EXTREMELY cheap. I saw things such as nintendo wii's going for just over $34. The website could afford to do this because they charge people to bid. Each item starts out with a starting price of nothing. Each time you bid, the price of the item goes up $0.10. The catch is that each bid you make, costs a dollar, and adds 10 seconds to the timer of the auction. So the nintendo wii selling for $34.90 actually made them $349 dollars off of the bids spent on the item, plus the $34.90 you would have to pay them to have the item shipped. If that was all that went into the situation, the site would be a spectacular way to buy ridiculous cheap items, that could easily be resold to turn a profit. The problem is, I watched this site for hours upon end in the last week or two, and have seen various different signs that i felt showed it is nothing more than another scam.

1. The same people bidding on up to 15 items at the same exact time, all within the last 10 seconds of the auctions, over and over again. This could really be happening. One person really could have 15 windows open on a supercomputer, and it still run fast enough, and the person could really bid one time on 15 items in a 10 second period. The issue I found with the situation, was that these same 'user names' are doing the bidding 24 hours a day, all day, every day. This makes me think that either a bidder, or the site itself is running a program that automatically bids, over and over, making it impossible for the average person to win an auction, but completely possible for you to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on bids, showing nothing in return.

2. I also witnessed many different auctions state that there was NO time left. The timer read 00:00. A winner was even proclaimed that very instant on the auctions page. Then, out of nowhere, the winners name went away, and the timer said 00:00. If that was me, and i was proclaimed as the winner, i'd be furiously pissed off when i saw the auction that said i just won, start AGAIN at the same price, and not refunding me my $1 each bids.

3. They claim that they give refunds on any unused bids. From what i've read from pissed off users trying to vent on the internet, is that they never actually refund you the money. If you bought 100 bids, used 10 of them, decided it wasn't for you and wanted a refund, you'd actually be stuck with $90 worth of bids, on a website where you could bid on an auction you will never win.

4. I have searched and searched for someone saying that they ACTUALLY won something off of the site, and that it was ACTUALLY delivered to them. There are a few seldom instances where i found someone saying they won and received something one time, but never after that. but with the number of auctions that end on their every single hour, of every single day, you'd think there would be more people talking about it.

5. The exact same usernames, that win items back to back to back, show up as different winners in the recent winners the site boasts. The same username was listed as both a male, and female name, in two different locations, one in alabama, and one in new york. I  personally watched both auctions end, about 2 hours apart, by the same user. Yet, the winners were two different people.

The idea of zambid is a very very good idea, for both the customer, and the provider. The only problem is, its WAY to good to be true. They ruined a fantastic idea, for the entire world. Zambid, you are the first of many scams i'm gonna call out. Prove its not a scam, i'll revoke the post instantly. Until then, your just another scam slammed.

Introduction

Currently, I live in Olathe, KS. I'm tired of working at the same dead end job, and for a while had no idea what to do about it. More than anything, i just wanted a little bit more money. I soon turned to the internet. I wasn't even being selfish, trying to get rich quick like most people looking to make an income off the internet. Honetstly, I would have been completely satisfied with an extra $20 a month. Until I began looking to make some extra money, I had no idea there were SO many scammer's out there claiming they could help you out, by putting money in your pocket. Still, I search for these companies, and have no intent to quit. It becomes less and less about the extra money, looking more and more like an obsession everyday. I plan to update this blog, with a post for each scam i come across, and if i come across any legitimate money making opportunities, I'll be sure to include them as well. Tune in frequently, because the updates will be regular. I hope your all as excited as I am. If you think it's a scam, come see if it's slammed. If it's not listed yet, leave a comment, and i will personally do the dirty work to find out. The goal is, that honest people like yourselves, won't have to suffer through all the misery and letdowns the internet has to offer when trying to do nothing more than make a few extra bucks.

Thanks for reading.

Next post, the first on the list of many, will be on Zambid.com and other websites of the sort. If you check it out, you'll probably get sucked into it just like I did. Check in this weekend, because if it's a scam, it's gettin' slammed.
